Brace your eyes guys, this post is extremely photo heavy!
Scrolling through my bloglovin' feed this morning was like looking through well composed time casuals of the year with little snippets of everyones acheivements, post after post of years In review I couldn't help but feel a sense of my own nostalgia of this years events.
A particular post that caught my eye was Olivia's, from What Olivia Did: she has been a huge inspiration for me this year with her beautifuly laid out posts and methodically thought out photographs, I know my year may not be as beautifully choreographed as hers but never the less Its a story if your interested I'd  love to share.

Things I've Done

From L - R: A Halloween Tutorial That Went Viral! | Attending LFW head to toe in Beyond Retro | Reporting on Camera for Yahoo | Being Invited to the Mulberry Viewing at LFW | Going Backstage at LFW | Meeting Eva Chen! | Being featured in Company Magazine | Modelling for Beyond Retro | Being Photographed by Holly Fernando

It goes without saying this year has to be one of the best years of my life, I started off on a particularly difficult note - I thought my illness got the better of me and forced me to take a year out of university, it sounds dramatic but it felt like my life was over I was on the road to nowhere with no aspirations or dreams of my own.
After being an avid reader of blogs for a good few years prior I decided to set one up of my own, but I had no expectations for it, It was purely something for me to do on my year off, however Its turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life and turned into something much more then just something to pass the time.
Thanks to my blog I've been extremely lucky enough to go places and meet people I never would have before, Sorry to sound all gushy but its because of my blog I've managed to beat my Illness and finally managed to build my self confidence. Im so grateful for all of you who have helped me achieve so much In just a year. On top of all the excitement of my blog I also finally moved In with my fiancee and two doggies, oh and I managed to bag myself a freelance writing position at Yahoo Lifestyle ahh!

 Things I've Ate

...Food Glorious Food!

Aktins dieters avert your eyes, this is not for those of you who are carb shy! My year may have been a slightly over glutenous one especially since I developed a passion for baking after participating In the great blogger bake off and my fiancee started baking bread regularly. But for those of you concerned about my glucose levels I promise you healthy greens were also included.
A particularly favourable bake of mine and one that received the most attention had to be my three layer macaroon cake aka 'The Giant Pink One'! My recipe posts have been my favourite posts of the year, before this year I cooked a lot but always shied away from baking, Im looking forward to continuing the series next year but I will start including some healthier options!

Thank you each and everyone of you who have helped make this year the best year of my life, may I continue to meet more and more of you! A special thank you to all of my friends and family old and new who have helped support me this year, thank you to the wonderful Laura from Lelore for coming to events with me and taking me to them, Thank you Naomi for all the opportunities you have provided me with this year and for being such a lovely person, Thank you Natasha from Yahoo for having faith in me and taking me to LFW, thank you to my amazing fiancee Joseph who helps me take all my photos and remains patient and upbeat with me even when I'm feeling down, I Love you thank you x
