#TasteOfSummer

The summer months almost feel like a distant memory, the sky is grey - when isn't it in England - and the leaves are turning brown. To try and savoir those last few days of sunshine I thought I'd bottle up a few of those idle rays and have a good ol' fashioned picnic with my Fiancee.

Joseph and I armed with a few bottle of Prosecco, with the thanks of Waitrose Wine Cellar (Don't worry we didn't drink them all!) and a wicker Picnic basket filled with pastries and other treats, headed down to one of my favourite spots Leeds Castle. The castle has the most beautiful grounds and there's plenty of room to go off and find a quiet spot, we found a little area nearby a lake with a scenic view of the castle, in the distance there where Geese nesting on the lake fortunately we worked the distance out just right and wasn't bombarded by them mid-sandwich.

Now of course three bottles of bubbly at a picnic is a little bit excessive, If I had consumed all three I think I would still be at the park now pretending to live among the Geese, so it goes without saying the wine is purely for the photos. Although on glass or two may have been consumed...

Waitrose very kindly sent over a few bottles of wine to accompany my picnic, I was happy in the knowledge that one bottle was being sent so you can imagine my delight when three cropped up. The wines where all sparkling, there was: Ridgeview Fitzrovia Rose which had creamy strawberry undertone, Valdo Oro Puro Prosecco which was dry and tasted of apples (my fave) and San Leo Prosecco Brut which was fresh and fruity. Each would make a lovely accompaniment to any posh slap-up meals you have planned or just for enjoying in front of the x-factor on Saturday (that's what ill be doing!).

It goes without saying, enjoy responsibly.
