Guten tag! Today's post, despite what my misleading bobble hat title says is actually a post in collaboration with Asos as part of their 'Be Yourself Workwear' campaign. They asked if I wanted to style my perfect work-wear look and answer a few questions for them, naturally I took this as the perfect opportunity to get a new coat, hence my new rather jazzy look maxi coat which I've barely removed from my shoulders since it arrived. I also got some fancy new shiny shoes which instantly make my work days just that little bit more exciting.

Caution: There may or may not be a ton of bitch face in these photos, I'm sorry my face only seems to have one expression, soz bbz.

1.        What is your industry and your job role?

I'm currently a third year student studying fashion design, but I also work freelance for Yahoo style as a fashion and beauty content creator.

2.        What part of your job gets you excited to get out of bed in the morning?

I just absolutely love what I do, I get to surround myself with fashion all day long (sorry that's so cheesy) and I get to meet new and inspiring people all the time, it's hard work and fast paced but I just get such a buzz from it.

3.        What is the general dress code in your industry like?

The surprising thing is people who actually work in fashion don't look like they typically work in fashion behind the scenes, especially the designers, we tend to wear what ever is comfy - style is usually last thing on our minds when we're still working away come midnight. However, when it comes to leaving the studio and having meetings or going to press events with my freelance work I try to make a lot more of an effort, that usually means ankle boots, a midi dress and a smart coat.

4.        What would you consider to be your absolute work wear staple?

A work wear staple for me has to be a coat or jacket, I embarrassingly own far too many my wardrobe is practically bursting (saying that I still wear the same one or two everyday, opps). Whack on a posh looking coat and you can make any boring outfit look good.

5.        What is your favourite work footwear and why?

Definitely an ankle boot, I tried to be one of those women who look cool in trainers but it just didn't work. My favourite style is pointed as them bad boys mean business.

6.         Do you have a cheat hair style to save you time in the mornings?

Confession time. I never bother with my hair in the morning (hence why it looks so wild in the photos) I tend to curl it the night before and then just give it a once over in the morning with a hair dryer to try and tame some of it, clearly to no avail.

7.        Do you have any advice for people who want to work in your industry? Fashion or non-fashion related.

Work hard, be the person who is first in and last out and say yes to as many opportunity's as you can as you never know where one challenge could take you.

8.        What made you chose this particular ASOS outfit combination?

I chose this look as it's probably the perfect definition of 'smart casual' the dress is something I can feel comfortable enough to wear whilst I'm working but if I have to run out for a meeting I can just whack on a higher heel and I'm good to go.
