First of all I'd like to thank Jayne for introducing me to this brand,  I was looking for retailers that specialise in cruelty-free brands and Jayne recommend I try out this online eco-freindly brand.

CutECOsmetics are a small family run independent business, whos professionalism and speedy service really is top notch. If you're looking to try out some indie cruelty-free brands I definitely recommend you giving them a look-in, they also stock some more widely known brands such as; Sugarpill, The Balm and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.

So what did I buy?

Lunatick Cosmetics Super Natural Palette

I went all in all guns blazing when I saw this packaging; I read no prior reviews, I watched no Youtube videos, I saw clicked it and instantly put it straight in my basket. I'm usually the first to say "No thanks mate" when I see a Ouija board, but as soon as I saw the packaging and realised it wasn't likely to haunt me I just knew I had to have it.

Was it a smart idea gambling for the sake of packaging? For £24.99 my purse says no, but my heart says, hell yes.

This palette features 5 smooth and creamy shades Invocation (shimmery mauve), Myth (matte pale pink), Spook (shimmery burgundy), Reincarnation (matte grey toned mauve) and Ghoulight (matte cooled-toned purple). My favourite shade is Ghoulight, as It looks so good in your crease.

Pros
  • Easy to blend.
  • Pigmented (Apart from Invocation, that takes a few applications).
  • Rare to find Vegan formulas of these shade.
Cons
  • Have fall-out as the formulas are so soft.
  • Fragile would be worried about transporting it.

Lunatick Cosmetics Labs are alternative brand based out of Milwaukee, USA, all of their formuals are 100% and Cruelty-free.

Concrete Cosmetics 'Blackest Black' Stack

The next thing I picked up was this stack of pigments which cost £21.00, the stacks come in three varieties; Rainbow-bright, Nudie-Pie and the one I bought, Blackest Black. The set includes Black Metal (Black with Silver flecks),  Sabotage (which on the site is described as black with pink flecks, I say it's more of a warm toned deep purple), Kinky (Dark Teal), Ether (Gunmetal Silver) and Seance (Deep purple with a lavender sheen).

The retail cost of their individual pigments are £6.00, so buying the stacks saves you some precious pennies. However, you're limited to the pre-chosen sets.

Pros
  • So pigmented, you do not need to build them up.
  • Price.
Cons
  • The sparkle is not long wearing, unless applied wet and with primer
Concrete Minerals are an American brand, all of their products are 100%  Vegan and cruelty-free.
